Mr Shahid, from his very childhood, was very conscious about Qawwali singing, to add to his inbuilt talent, there already had been extraordinary talent for singing, his father finally made up his mind to teach him singing Qawwali in well organised manner, the training started and the results could be seen even sooner. He not only managed to excel in the field of education but also in the field of singing.

In the meantime, Mr Shahid got the opportunity to meet Mr Jafar Badauni, one of the greatest qawwali singers in India. Mr Shahid made the request to accept him as a disciple.

Mr Shahid Niazi exhibits extraordinary talent in singing qawwali , nateea kalam (devotional songs), ghaals, traditional sufi and patriotic songs. He never forgets to send a message of harmony and brotherhood through his singing.
