#NowWeRise! One of the most popular and accomplished teams of the ISL, they have reached the semi-finals twice and the finals once. Additionally, they have been top scorers in the league stage twice along the way. This is a side that is built on the spirit of its people. Fearless, attacking and full of spirit. Under Sergio Lobera's second season in charge, the Goan club, with its incredible fan base and love for football has focussed heavily on positive, attacking football.
FC Goa started Hero Indian Super League Season 5 on a high, remaining at the top of the table for a long time before they were dethroned by Bengaluru FC. They currently sit third in the league table and their form and quality can see them go through to the knockout stages comfortably. But can they make this season their most memorable one by going all the way?
The 5th edition of the Hero Indian Super League kicked off on 29 Sept 2018. The league is India’s unrivalled football championship which kicked off on 12 October, 2014. The league has ten franchises based in Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Jamshedpur. Their aim is for India to become a global football power and qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup! The 2018 leg was exciting and 2019 will bring even more fierce competition and enthralling football.
