About the Event

The #PreventionofBlindnessWeek campaign is planned by the Government of India and is held from the 1st to the 7th of April to increase awareness towards visually differently abled people.

In the same spirit, Enactus Deshbandhu in association with Socialoffline present a unique experience with artists from their Projects Amartya and Treya. Sit with differently abled artists from project Amartya to get a feeling for the difference in their artistic processes while you enjoy a sample selection of baked goods from project Treya which is involved in helping victims of human trafficking.

Enactus Deshbandhu, a part of Enactus India, are a community of students committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better, more sustainable world. Enactus Deshbandhu is currently working on two projects.

Project Amartya: This project focuses on the development of visually impaired women and acid attack survivors by providing training in the art of stitching and tailoring to make DIY products, designer clothes and dream catchers.

Project Treya : This project aims to empower survivors of human trafficking by training them in the art of preparing bakery products and therefore providing them with means of a sustainable and dignified livelihood.
