A modern day storytelling is an event where we celebrate two prominent hilarious writers from the land of Rajasthan and Pakistan.

The Rajasthani Folktales are from Vijaydan Detha's "Baataon ki Phulwari" series. Vijaydan Detha, also known as Bijji, was a noted Indian writer of Rajasthani literature. He was a recipient of several awards including the Padma Shri and the Sahitya Akademi Award. Detha has more than 800 short stories to his credit, which have been translated into English and other languages.

Patras Bhokhari was a Pakistani humorist, writer, broadcaster, and diplomat. He is undoubtedly one of the finest works in Urdu humor and despite the fact that it was written in the first half of the twentieth century, it seems to be truly applicable even today.
