Information:

At a distance of 17 km from Matheran and 8 km from Diksal, Garbett Point or Garbut Point is located near Matheran with grand view of the plateau below. The huge plateau gives a view to various waterfalls on the neighboring mountains. This place is also one of the top things to do in Matheran hill station and among most scenic places to visit near Mumbai.

Garbett Point, situated about 5 km walk from Matheran Railway Station, is a comparatively secluded and less visited vantage point. Flanked by a gorgeous valley on one side and the thick jungle on the other, Garbett Point is a place from where enthralling views of sunrise and sunset can be observed.

Garbett to Matheran trekking is very famous for adventure lovers from Mumbai and Pune. The trek is a bit long and requires a little patience to accomplish.

Meeting point: Bhivpuri railway station

Take the Karjat Fast local from CST at timing mentioned below:

Catch the 6:10 am cst-karjat fast local. People who live on slow track station please come to your nearest station to catch this local.

MEETING POINT AT BHIVPURI STATION

08:00 Gathering to Bhivpuri station near ticket counter

08:30 GETTING FRESH & Breakfast

09:00 Expected to reach at base village

09:30 Expected to start the trek

01:00 Reach on Top, explore fort, photography, etc

01:30 Lunch BREAK

04:00 Expected to reach Matheran

04:45 Expected to reach Neral station

05:00 START RETURN JOURNEY TO MUMBAI

Includes:

Morning Breakfast & Tea,

Bhivpuri to base village and back to Neral in local transport,

Note:

Please buy your return tickets and board 2nd compartment from ahead (Karjat end). Missing train would mean missing the trek.

We would be returning to Mumbai by 18:00 hrs approx depending on rains.
