About the Event

Radha Thomas has been a professional performing musician for a few decades and is considered one of India’s leading jazz exponents. She has a huge body of work that is available online, and during the COVID-19 lockdown she set herself a challenge to create 52 consecutive music video, one a week, collaborating with musicians around the world.

Here in Bangalore over the past decade, Thomas and Aman Mahajan, have composed a huge body of original music. They have performed this extensively, plumbing the depths of jazz while not ignoring their Indian roots. They have two albums to their credit. I Only Have Eyes For You in 2012, and Bangalore Blues released in 2021. Their journey continues.

In this session along with guitarist Joey Sharma and Bass player Dhani Muniz, the music has taken on a new life, going back 100 years. The exciting, up-tempo crispness of manouche jazz along with the spirited music of the 1930s is in a word, joyous. The set list put together by these musicians should have you wanting for more.
