Having taken the Indie scene on Instagram by storm already, The Conemunity brings you its first ever artist showcase! Every volume will bring you a fresh set of our home-grown talent from across the country performing original songs and poems. This time, we have on board singer songwriters Nitika Kurian, Ashwin Adwani, Abdon Mech and spoken word poet Moira Rajpal ready to take your breath away.

About The Artists

Nitika Kurian

Nitika Kurian is a singer/songwriter and a musician currently based in Chennai. She started playing the piano, guitar and singing at a very young age. She released her debut single in August 2019 on all major music streaming platforms called “Phoenix” which was featured in the Rolling Stone India, Maed in India and also on the Apple Music “A-list Pop” playlist. She has also released her second single “Blue” in March 2020 which has accumulated thousands of streams in the past months.

Abdon Mech

Abdon Mech is a singer/songwriter from Nagaland known for his easy going vocals and straightforward songwriting. A University student by day and a musician by night, he has been active in the music scene for a while playing major gigs and festivals such as the Thuwuni Music Festival, Hornbill International Music Festival, and Echoes, to name a few. He was also one of the five artists selected from all over the country for the "Unboxing Artists" campaign by Numero Uno Jeans. His debut EP is set to be out at the end of 2020. 

Moira Rajpal

Moira Rajpal is a spoken word poet and storyteller from Mumbai with viral pieces like The Hookup Culture and My Kind Of Love. Filmmaking student by day, she also judges poetry slams at some of the biggest college festivals in India. Recently, she shared the stage with the world's foremost robotic personality, Sophia and performed alongside her.

Ashwin Adwani

Born and raised in Indore, Ashwin found his love for music at the age of 5, after picking up a keyboard and later a guitar. His connection with the art grew stronger and deeper as he discovered songwriting as a way to capture his emotions in new & unique ways and fell in love with the freedom of expression that came with it. Taking inspiration from artists like Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, The Beatles & Lauv he has developed a style of his own and is ready to share his music with the world.
