About the Event

The Deccan Dining Room is a limited period experimental lunch project specializing in food from the Deccan region of India. Starting from October 23 on select weekends, The Deccan Dining Room shall open its doors to the people of Bombay to come experience authentic Hyderabadi preparations in the comfort of a home in Worli. Here you get to sample a six course traditional Deccan meal prepared in the most orthodox techniques of the Nizam kitchens using original spices procured all the way from the spice markets of Hyderabad.


​The Deccan Dining Room will have a single lunch seating of maximum 12 guests at a time. We are of the belief that food is a celebration and is best enjoyed in the company of a fellow food lover. It is our endeavor at The Deccan Dining Room to take you back to an era when food was never fast and the Biryani never frozen. Here is our invitation to all food lovers in town to come travel back in time and see what it takes to eat like a Nizam!

The only authentic Hyderabadi biryani in town, slow cooked to perfection, best had with our Mirch ka Salan and Dahi ki Chutney

MIRCH KA SALAN
Curried chilli peppers best had with the Hyderabadi Biryani or with plain Steamed Rice and a generous helping of Ghee

DAHI KI CHUTNEY
Dahi ki chutney as they call it in Hyderabad is perfect accompaniment to your Biryani

KHATTI DAL
Mix it with some Ghee, Steamed Rice and our signature Tamatar Chutney...need we say more
