About the Event

The COMMEAT Table brings to you The Flavours of the Middle-East. Fresh, wholesome, healthy, rich and aromatic – enjoy a cuisine that’s as fresh as it is delicious. Curated by Home Culinaire, Arunima Khanna, this feast promises to host the most authentic and exotic recipes.



Arunima has been passionate about food since childhood and her frequent visits to Dubai inspired her to try out different dishes which she found to be very healthy. She makes use of plenty of olive oil, yogurt and freshly ground spices in her cuisine. Take a look at the menu below:

Roasted Bell Pepper Hummus- Roasted Bell Pepper mixed with chickpeas, tahini , garlic and olive oil to give out the smokey flavour of the bell pepper
Baba Ghanoush
Tzatziki- hung curd flavored with fresh dill, cucumber and olive served best with pita bread

Spinach Sambousek: Spinach flavored with sumac, seven spices cheese stuffed in flour patties and fried to perfection are another lip smacking delight of Lebanese Cuisine
Batata Harra- crisp Potatoes tossed with cayenne pepper, lemon juice and coriander leaves and is part of hot mezze of Lebanese cuisine
MAIN COURSE
Chicken Doner Kebab Roll- Chicken marinated with oregano, sumac and middle-eastern spices are chargrilled , then rolled in a khaboos with salad is best had with home-made garlic sauce
Chicken Shawarma Pita Pocket
Grilled Vegetables Shawarma
Harissa Paneer Pocket
Yogurt Tahini Sauce- Seasonal vegetables tossed with harissa, then chargrilled served with lentil and caramelised onion rice pilaf is best had with Yogurt Tahini Sauce Mutton and Okra Curry with Rice Pilaf

Mafrukah- Semolina halwa flavored with rose water and topped with clotted cream served best cold.
Rez Bel Haleeb(Middle-Eastern Rice Pudding)- traditional lebanese dessert made with reducing the milk on a low heat with rice and flavored with rose water is best served cold
