Indian bronzes have a distinct charm and breathtaking beauty. The earliest bronze sculptures from the Indian subcontinent date back to the Harappan period, including the famous Dancing Girl. Craftsmen envisioned bronze statues of saints as ideal depictions. These depict the saint's persona, which is usually distinguished by his distinguishing characteristics and physiognomy. They were appreciated for their steadfast commitment, vivid lyricism, and selflessness. They were carved into bronze statues and worshipped in household shrines because of their traits. We will look at many bronzes from the South Indian Empires, the seductive Shiva Nataraja, and various portrayals of Shakti and Religious Saints in the National Museum's Bronze gallery.
