About the Event

The Sharing Circle

Each month we will have a guided session that will focus on building specific life skills, such as self awareness, empathy, effective communication and nurturing relationships. Things which we wish we were taught in school. The monthly themes are interconnected to build a deeper understanding of the life skills but each session can also be attended separately.

About the workshop-

As we move into the third decade of the 21st century, the world has become smaller, faster and smarter. Inspite of that, daily life can feel more stressful, busy and disconnected. We struggle to cope with the demands of everyday life. And the spaces to seek support without judgement or learn some of the basic skills required to cope with these challenges are few. The Sharing Circle aims to create a safe and affordable space to connect, express, and learn more about ourselves and others. The sharing circle stems from our strong belief in the power of human connection. Our objective, over time, is to create a community that feels empowered to talk about things that affect us all.

Listening Session

What does it mean to LISTEN?

Listening is one of the most important yet overlooked skills of communication. (Without the ability to listen effectively, messages are easily misunderstood.) Effective listening enables one to access the other’s knowledge, beliefs and feelings. When people listen to each other mindfully, they become open to different perspectives and can connect more meaningfully. This session will focus on bringing awareness to how we listen, and provide tools to become better listeners. The space will be warm, supportive and non-judgmental. We want to make room for the conversations which are not discussed anywhere else.
