Just a kilometre from Akbar’s Tomb lies the final resting place of Akbar's wife and Jahangir's mother, Marium-uz-Zamani Begum. The tomb has exceptional carvings and the ground floor consists of around forty chambers built by Sikandar Lodi. Unlike other Mughal monuments, the tomb has no domes. The architecture of the tomb is a unique combination of Islamic and Hindu styles, which had gained popularity during the rule of Akbar and Jahangir. The significant thing about the tomb structure is that it looks the same from the front and back, which makes this unique among all the Mughal structures.
