TARQ is delighted to announce a URDU Calligraphy workshop, conducted by typographer and graphic designer Zeenat Kulavoor, that ties in with the gallery's ongoing exhibition, Baaton se baat nikalti hai by Muzzumil Ruheel.

An initiation into Urdu calligraphy, the session will introduce participants to the script; its usage in contemporary practices and various other possibilities. Participants will be shown a live demo on writing in the script, followed by a guided calligraphy session with instructor Zeenat Kulavoor.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be given a small takeaway guide so that they can continue to practice independently in the future. Prior experience in calligraphy or familiarity with the script is not necessary for the workshop.
