Vijaynarain is an Indian-Australian Tamil playback singer and composer, known for his superhit songs such as Ei Suzhali (Kodi), Kaarkuzhal Kadavaiye (Vada Chennai), Poi Vaazhva (Manithan) and recently, Poraen Naa Poraen from Meiyazhagan. Having already built a repertoire of popular songs in films, he has recently moved back from Australia to his hometown of Chennai to pursue his artistic goal of making original music and singing. Vijaynarain’s vocals have graced the melodies of renowned stars such as Rajinikanth, Dhanush, Vijay, Karthi, Prabhas, Nani, and Madhavan, among others. His latest releases include a duet with the legendary Kamal Hassan from Meiyazhagan, and the Bhairava Anthem with Diljit Dosanjh from the movie Kalki 2898 AD. Beyond his collaborations with distinguished Indian musicians like Santhosh Narayanan, Kamal Hassan, Govind Vasantha, and A.R. Rahman, Vijaynarain's original releases, Kaikku Ettinadhu and Yedho Maayam, the latter featuring Dhee, have garnered critical acclaim and popularity. Rooted in Indian melody, Vijay's signature style incorporates a touch of country, folk, acoustic-rock, and occasional RnB flavours, creating a unique blend that resonates with diverse sensibilities. Vijaynarain is actively performing live locally and internationally, in various marquee shows such as Neeye Oli, Sounds of the South (SaNa) and his own live acts.
