Having served as the Director of Liquid Propulsion Systems Center in Thiruvananthapuram, he is currently spearheading the progress of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center in ISRO as its director. He is widely acknowledged for his brilliance in launch vehicle design, especially its systems engineering, structural design and dynamics and pyrotechnics. The scintillating success of the first experimental flight of the LVM3-X/CARE mission on the 18th of December, 2014 is wholly attributed to his leadership as Project Director.
