We Are Doing Things is a 3-day dance workshop facilitated by Sunayana Shetty. In this workshop we will jam together through improvisations, simple movement tasks, working with emotional expression through physical intensity and engage in a dance practice together over three days.

We will work with text, movement scores and build narrative fragments that enable each participant to articulate what is known, unknown or imagined through their own artistic lens.

Bring strange things, new things and some old memories!

The workshop is open to dance/theatre practitioners, movement enthusiasts and artists of multidisciplinary backgrounds. Basic experience in movement/dance is encouraged.

About the Facilitator:

Sunayana Shetty (IND/DE), is a dancer and choreographer based in Berlin. She completed her Bachelor in Dance, Context, Choreography from the HZT Berlin in 2018. She is interested in reimagining the body through its sensitivities and fragility. She is interested in finding a coherent relationship between the different states of the body and the form it takes through dance and choreography. The intention is to create spaces where dances are shared and highlight the role of embodiment, self-reflexivity and listening.

In 2020, Sunayana and Aabshaar Wakhloo co-curated the AMONG US Platform: an initiative to connect and continue dialogue about ongoing body practices through the virtual platform and offline.
