Action to an actor is what a brush-stroke is to a painter, a note to a singer and a move to a dancer. The layers in actions allow an actor to connect with and communicate the deep human experiences. This workshop introduces three primary actions which compose a performative action i.e. Physical Action, Vocal Action & Creative Action. You will also learn how to work with actions, strategies for exploration, as well as, layering and process of composition.

About the facilitator:

Founder & Artistic Director for Still Space Theatre, Bangalore, Akhshay Gandhi has performed at several prestigious venues across the world, including, Stanford University, UCLA, Spoken Fest, Mumbai International Storytelling Festival to name a few. He is an alumni of SITI Company, New York, Odin Theatre Laboratory, Denmark, and BITS-Pilani. His interests range from performance practices to performance research.
