Relying on a phenomenon called 'Persistence of vision', the flip book, in all its old-world ingenuity, used this simple illusion before any motion picture ever did, and was probably the very first graphical story telling device. Since then, flip books continue to charm, requiring great creativity to conceptualize and meticulous craft to execute.
