About the Event

Brought to India by the Moghuls in the 16th century, Zardozi is an ornate metallic embroidery done using metallic threads in colours of gold and silver. The word Zardozi hails from two Persian words - 'zar' or 'zarin' meaning gold, and 'dozi' meaning sewing. This beautiful and rich embroidery has been loved and adorned on luxurious velvet, satin, and silk-based fabrics over the years.
